Child Care Voucher Program
If the Level 1 tuition is more than your family can afford, we encourage you to look into the voucher program provided by the State of Massachusetts. You may be eligible for an EEC childcare voucher if your family’s income is at or below 50% of the State Median Income when you apply (and does not exceed 85% at reassessment). As of 2017, the maximum income levels for application are as follows:
Annual income | Monthly income | |
---|---|---|
Family of two | $37,053 | $3,088 |
Family of three | $45,661 | $3,814 |
Family of four | $54,489 | $4,541 |
Family of five | $63,207 | $5,267 |
Family of six | $71,925 | $5,994 |
Family of seven | $73,560 | $6,130 |
(Families larger than seven – please check the state website or call phone number below.)
In addition to the income requirements above, all parents/guardians in the household must be working, seeking employment, in school, retired, or you or your child must have a documented disability or special needs, as determined by the State. Please note that a co-payment may be required, depending on income level. For more information or to apply for a voucher, please contact Child Care Choices of Boston at 617-542-5437 (KIDS).
